Download the Application Here The Junior League of Central Westchester, Inc. (JLCW) is offering a $1,000 Volunteer Service Award to a female high school senior who will be attending a 2- or 4-year college beginning in 2010. The recipient of this scholarship will be someone who has demonstrated an exemplary commitment to volunteerism. The purpose of this scholarship is to raise awareness of volunteerism and to support the development of young women as volunteers. Details of the scholarship are provided below. What is the JLCW? The JLCW is a nonprofit women’s organization committed to promoting volunteerism; developing the potential of women; and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Headquartered at historic Wayside Cottage, the JLCW serves the communities of Eastchester, Greenburgh, Scarsdale and White Plains. Application Deadline All applications (including the letters of reference) must be submitted by April 1, 2010.
