The Family Literacy Program Committee has been Very Busy

2009 Holiday Boutique
The 23rd Holiday Boutique was held on November 4th and 5th 2009. Shoppers came to enjoy the wide range of vendors and the silent auction accompanied by a wine tasting on first night of the event.

Family Literacy Program - 2008/2009
The JLCW continued its focus on literacy arranging its second family literacy fair at the White Plains Public Library.

Grace Church Soup Kitchen - 2008/2009
The JLCW maintained its parnership with Grace Church in 2008/2009. The league provided 10 cold and 8 hot lunches to the soup kitchen.

New Member Projects - 2008/2009
During 2008/2009 the two New Member classes hosted a Safety Day for pre-schoolers and brightened and enhanced the recreation room at the Coachman Family Center in White Plains.

Wayside Cottage - 2008/2009
Every year the JLCW provides tours of the Wayside Cottage to local school children. Despite the restoration of the Cottage during the year this continued in 2008/2009.
