The Junior League of Central Westchester’s (JLCW) Spring Fundraiser, Magic & Mingling took place on Friday, April 26, 2013 and was truly a magical evening. The event was attended by over 160 people and raised more than $30,000 to support the JLCW’s programs that help improve the local community. Taking place at The Coliseum in White Plains, NY, the evening featured cocktails and a buffet dinner, an amazing silent auction and entertainment by famed magician Dan White.

Magician Dan White is internationally-acclaimed and has mystified audiences around the globe. He is the creator and star of the Discovery Channel’s The Supernaturalist in which he travels through Nepal in search of the miraculous. White serves as head magic producer for David Blaine and has recently become a creative consultant for illusionist David Copperfield. He mesmerized guests at Magic & Mingling with his slights of hand and amazing tricks.

The evening also featured an exciting raffle with a top prize of two domestic American Airlines tickets generously donated by JLCW’s Ruby Sponsor, American Airlines. Photography was generously provided by NJ Photography Studio.

“Magic & Mingling was truly the event of the season. We were so lucky to have Dan White perform, and the array of items at the silent auction was amazing,” said Lauren Wyler-Smith, President of the Junior League of Central Westchester. “The funds raised for the JLCW will be incredibly helpful in our mission to improve the local community through charitable works.”

Proceeds from Magic & Mingling support the JLCW’s programs that promote health and literacy, provide food and necessities to the underprivileged, empower low-income families, help preserve community history and train effective community volunteers.
