Community Partners

The JLCW is proactive in developing collaborative partnerships with local nonprofits to address significant issues in central Westchester and to improve the overall quality of life through a legacy of trained volunteers. The Junior League of Central Westchester provides resources and knowledge to community partners through the training, education and volunteerism of its members. If you are a community organization, we’d love to hear from you and find ways to partner together to make a difference.   To inquire and be added to our communications for opportunities, please email us at jlcw@verizon.net.

Each fall, we host a Community Partner Networking Breakfast to encourage dialogue in a collaborative environment and also serves as the beginning of community project discussion for the following League year.   The conversations focus on community needs and solutions facing the organizations in attendance.  Most significantly, organization representatives discover shared interests and opportunities to collaborate among themselves.

At the beginning of each calendar year, community organizations wishing to partner with the JLCW submit Project Proposals.   Requests are reviewed by the JLCW Board of Directors and are voted on by our membership.  Once the JLCW slate of projects are finalized, project chairs and staffing are established for the next operating year.
