Volunteer Service Awards

Each year, The Junior League of Central Westchester (JLCW) offers Volunteer Service Awards, each to a female high school junior. The recipients of this award are women who have demonstrated an exemplary commitment to volunteerism and public service. The purpose of this award is to promote volunteerism and to support the development of young women. Please direct any questions to communitydev@jlcentralwestchester.org.

Award Criteria
The JLCW will consider all applicants who meet the following criteria:
  • Female
  • High school junior
  • Lives or attends high school in Eastchester, Greenburgh, Scarsdale or White Plains (e.g. students enrolled in Alexander Hamilton High School, Ardsley High School, Dobbs Ferry High School, Eastchester High School, Hastings High School, Irvington High School, Scarsdale High School, White Plains High School, or Woodlands High School)
  • Lives or attends high school in Armonk, Bedford, Bedford Hills, Briarcliff, Chappaqua, Katonah, Mount
    Pleasant, Mount Kisco, Pound Ridge and Somers.
  • Has demonstrated a commitment to volunteerism and/or public service between September 2021 and March 2024
