Scarsdale, NY, March 12, 2019 – The Junior League of Central Westchester (JLCW) today recognizes the GEICO Local Office for its generous donation towards its Annual Appeal. The GEICO Local Office has donated $1,000 as a matching grant in support of JLCW member contributions.

JLCW Advisor and sponsor Weezie Mullaly/GEICO Local Office has generously offered a matching donation through the JLCW Advisor Challenge in support of the first team to reach 100% participation in Annual Appeal.

“It was our pleasure to help JLCW donors double their impact with this challenge,” stated Weezie Mullaly, owner of the GEICO Local Office serving Westchester County. “We are committed to giving back and making our community stronger, and this opportunity to support the JLCW has far-reaching impact.”

All donations enable the JLCW to keep improving the lives of children and families within the Central Westchester community. With a membership of approximately 250 volunteers, the JLCW executes programs that promote health, literacy and good nutrition to Head Start children, provide 12,000 diapers each month to needy families, ensure that low-income mothers have basic necessities for their newborns and teach leadership skills to teens at risk.

“We are grateful to the GEICO Local Office for its generous donation to our Annual Appeal and thank Weezie Mullaly for her continued support. The matching grant provides critical resources needed to support the mission of the JLCW and its community projects.  The support exhibited by every donor through the Advisor Challenge was truly exceptional,” said JLCW President Sandra Katz.
